Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began training in combat sports. After a kickboxing training session, wrestling BJJ and BJJ, she had her first professional fight against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she turned 18. Ladd later went on to take down three opponents consecutively at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of her opponents were finished within the first five minutes. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 before taking on Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia was defeated by Aspen with a majority vote. This put a stain on her record as an amateur. Ladd took her fight in a fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 mark. Aspen made her pro debut in 2015 after signing with Invicta FC. The InvictaFC11 fight was her debut professional fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing the 1st-round TKO. The next time she fought, she won against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then fought at the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen utilized the techniques she learned from wrestling to beat McGill. She won her bout via TKO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen then went on to fight Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 at a catchweight at 138.1lb. Ladd was not in a position to make it, however Aspen took the victory and defeated Hoy via TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last promotion fight. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks was a unanimous winner. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut came at UFC Fight Night 118 when she faced Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina with a pound and grind to her before prevailing by TKO during the second round. She continued to dominate and scored a more impressive win when she fought Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd beat Evinger by a punch in the initial round, and was awarded the performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes, in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first fight she had in any major role. The two fighters had a close fight that Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. Both fighters received an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within just 16 seconds, ending her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya fell in the third at UFC 7 at ESPN. As a last-minute replacement for her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight was lost by majority verdict.
