Lita Rossana Ford, popularly called Lita Ford, is a British-born American guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. She was the guitarist of the all-girl hard rock band, The Runaways, in the latter part of 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics helped them get noticed within the world of rock. The Runaways weren't popular on the scene in their native United States. However, their fame grew internationally, especially in Japan. When the band broke up in 1979, Ford began a lucrative solo career in metal. She started taking voice classes and soon released her first album , 'Dancin' On the Edge'. Ford was unable to achieve anything with either of them, and then she decided to leave the scene for a decade. Her smashing album, 'Lita" which came out in 1988 was her return with a bang. The album was an instant hit for both the song 'Kiss Me Deadly,' and the ballad , 'Close My Eyes forever. However, she only was a brief star and disappeared from the scene for several years. Her 'Black" album debuted in 1995, and she followed it with her "Wicked Wonderland" album came out almost 15 years later. "Time Capsule," her debut album "Time Capsule" was released in the year 2016 by her. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
